“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Attributed to Mark Twain by some but more probably was a thought of H. Jackson Brown Jnr.’s mother. Either way, it’s great.

(Nanakorobi yaoki)

Fall down seven times and get up eight.

Life should be fun, and fun is pleasant, lively, playful, generous, companionable, interested and interesting, comfortable, resilient, courteous and kind, stylish and, did I mention, kind.

Fun has no truck with things dull, lethargic, wretched, contemptuous, selfish, bigoted, stingy, self-pitying, timid, arbitrary, and trollish. Fun especially loathes selfish people.

It declines to go to parties which are worthy, goal driven, authoritative, custodial, attention-grabbing, exclusive, dismissive, prudish, buck-passing, managerial, jargon-savvy, and chooses to get rich slowly.

I would like this weblog to be fun for both you and me, and, if at all possible, well written.
